Life isn't easy for Sally and Ruth, alone since their mother's death. Ruth turns to prostitution but Sally is luckier, finding a respectable job. Just as life gets easier, Ruth is brutally murdered. Sally decides to search for her father, but finding him doesn't bring the happiness she anticipates.
